Organic Conspiracies

Using Cold Frames in the "off" months

I know I promised to rotate through my subjects and a post on health and fitness is in the works.  I have been juicing and I am so excited to share the experience with you.

But gardening is also foremost in my brain right now, a little because of the juicing.  I want to use the best, freshest, organic produce in my juicing and the best way to do that is to grow your own.

Gardening in the North can be challenging because of the temperature swings, short growing season, and short days in the winter months.  But if you can rise to meet the challenge, some of your best, most nutritious vegetables can be grown in the "off" months using cold frames.

See my blog post for cold frame ideas.

Here is my podcast on cold frames. Stay tuned because I'm just getting started! :0
